Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Rider Cancellation Policy

1.1 Free Cancellation Window

Riders may cancel a booking for free within 3 minutes of booking confirmation, provided the driver has not yet started travelling to the pickup location.

1.2 Cancellation Charges

The following cancellation charges apply:

• Cancelled after 3 minutes of booking: ₹20 cancellation fee
• Cancelled after driver arrives at pickup: ₹30 cancellation fee
• No-show (driver waited more than 5 minutes): ₹40 cancellation fee

These charges compensate drivers for their time and fuel costs.

1.3 Waiver of Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges may be waived in the following cases:

• Driver's location significantly different from shown on map
• Driver requested cancellation themselves
• Driver did not arrive within reasonable time
• App technical error caused incorrect booking

2. Driver Cancellation Policy

• Drivers are expected to complete all accepted rides
• Excessive cancellations by drivers will result in penalties
• Drivers with high cancellation rates may be temporarily suspended
• Drivers must cancel rides only for genuine reasons

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Automatic Refunds

Refunds are automatically processed in the following cases:

• Driver cancelled the ride after acceptance
• App error caused incorrect charge
• Duplicate payment for same ride
• Ride not completed due to technical failure

3.2 Refund Timeline

• UPI payments: Refunded within 24-48 hours
• Debit/Credit card: Refunded within 5-7 business days
• Net banking: Refunded within 3-5 business days
• EazyTap wallet: Instant refund

3.3 Refund Process

Refunds are credited back to the original payment method used for the transaction. Cash payments are not eligible for digital refunds.

4. Disputed Charges

If you believe you were incorrectly charged:

• Report the dispute within 24 hours of trip completion
• Contact us at info@eazytap.co.in with your trip details
• Our team will review and respond within 48 hours
• Valid disputes will be resolved with full or partial refund

5. Surge Pricing

During peak hours or high demand periods, surge pricing may apply. The app will clearly indicate surge multiplier before booking confirmation. No refunds are provided for surge pricing once the ride is accepted.
